Howie Green Gallery Featuring the artwork of Howie Green:
Celebrity Portraits and Pop Art Fun!
RETROSPECTIVE

Portrait of the artist as a young gun-totin hombre out on the prairie.

Howie's work reflects a broad range of styles and influences. His eclectic taste in his personal life is reflected in his art -- a dash of this, a drop of that and a pinch of something unexpected.

Howie attended R.I.T. in Rochester, NY in the late 1960s -- an exciting and dynamic time in the cultural and art world. While in school Howie studied with some of the most important artists and designers of the 20th century including typographer Hermann Zaph; painter, Joseph Albers; and painter/ designer/ color theorist/ architect Fritz Trautmann. Howie has also had the great fortune to work and spend time with a number of artists and designers who influenced his thinking and work including Andy Warhol, Peter Max, Milton Glaser and Norman Rockwell.

So... you take all those folks, mix them up with Howie's constant cultural curiosity and restless artistic drive and you get a steady stream of artwork that is unpredictable, colorful and always in motion.
