About the Award-Winning Artist Howie Green came to national attention with the publication of his book "Jazz Fish Zen: Adventures in Mamboland" which became a category best-seller and has developed a global cult following. Howie's artwork has been featured in over 30 solo and group gallery shows and his work is represented in the Rock Pop Gallery in Portland, OR. In addition he has painted over 25 public and private murals. As a publication designer, multimedia & web designer and illustrator Howie has won over 40 awards for his work for International clients including IBM, Hewlett Packard, Coca-Cola, CBS Television, The Philadelphia Zoo, LL Bean, PBS and others. Howie's portrait 'Madonna Smoking' is featured in the British art Book "Madonna in Art" by Mem Mehmet. One of Howie's paintings won Absolut Vodka's 25th Anniversary art competition in Boston, MA. 3 of Howie's painted cows are featured in Cow Parade Boston Howie has completed large entertainment themed art and mural installations at the Mellow Mushrooms on Fleming Island in Jacksonville and Delray Beach, Florida in addtion to painting a school bus at the Mellow Mushroomon on Jacksonville Beach. Howie's painting of rapper Biggie Smalls was used for the cover of the album "Unbelievable" and he has painted album covers for other performers including American Idol Finalist Chris Sligh and rapper Stack Bundles. Howie recently painted a series of Pop Art murals at the Dimock Center in Boston, MA. and his painted utility boxes can be seen at various locations around Boston.
