Welcome Cows on Parade 2006 to Boston

Howie Green's "Flower Cow" Joins the Parade

Sophie the Cow was the first cow in the live Jimmy Fund Auction on Sept. 22 at the Marriot Boston Hotel. The cow sold for big bucks and got the auction off to a rousing start. Flower Cow, now resides in a private collection in Weston, MA. If you're driving around Weston keep your eyes open and you might just spot the old girl.

Sophie The Flower Cow Makes TV Debut
June 2, 2006: Sophie the Flower Cow made her TV debut on WCVB's Chronicle in a segment about the Cows on Parade that featured lots of the cows. Sophie was prominently featured and she looked great. Who said that the TV camera adds 10 pounds? She looked svelte and every pound the major star that she is.

Howie Green's "Flower Cow" design was chosen as an official entry in the Jimmy Fund of Boston's Cows on Parade for 2006. The cow will be on display starting May 18 at the official Cows On Parade kickoff party in City Square Park in Charlestown, MA. Keep your eyes open for the entire parade of as they appear around the Boston area over the next few months. Click here to find out more about the Cows on Parade in Boston Events.

Note: Sophie is located for the summer at historic Faneiul Hall Marketplace just a few feet from her sister Poker Cow.

4/12/06: After an intensive 3 day marathon Howie has finished painting Flower Cow (nicknamed Sophie) and she's now ready for a few coats of protective finish before delivery to the Jimmy Fund roundup. We think she looks great and are happy to share these pictures of the delicate bovine. Bon Voyage Soph, it's been good to know ya!
